Burial will follow in Enlow Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home Gloster. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church. Mr. Nettles was born Jan. 12, 1920, in Wilkinson County, the son of John Fletcher Nettles and Elizabeth Oaks Nettles. He was retired from Wilkinson County Road Dept., was a member of the Corinth Church of Christ and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Nettles was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bernice Lanehart Nettles; half brother, Jewel Anders; brothers, Bill Nettles, Clyde Nettles, and Morris Nettles. Survivors include his step daughters, Linda Williams and Freddie of Woodville, Teresa Abrahamson and Dale of Wakefield, La., Carmel Ross and Bob of Vidalia, Pearley Perry and Shad of Natchez; step son, Silas Lanehart and Lena of Crosby; step son in-law, Davis McDowell of Coles; one sister, Lessie Perkins of Denham Springs, La.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
