Georgia to David (1801 Va. d. 1871 MS.) and Martha Pate (1816-1900), bur. Broom Cem. Coffeeville, Yalobushe Co. Ms. David was son of Harbert/Herbert (1767-1822)and Charlotte Adams Pate (d. post 1822), both of Sussex Co. Va. who migrated to Warren Co. Ga. via N.C. following the Revolutionary War. Harbert was one of the sons of Edward (1738- 1799) and Lucretia Adams Pate of Albermarle Parish in Surry/Sussex Co.Va.
