Swearengen farm east of the town of Oakland. From Oakland, Highway 51, go east on the Oakland/Coffeeville road, County Road 211, for 3.4 miles. Turn right on County Road 216, go 1.8 miles, then turn left into a field turnoff at the end of a large field. Follow the left edge of the field for 250 yards (you will probably have to walk), then turn left into a pine grove and go 75 yards to the top of a small hill. The cemetery is located at about the highest point on top of the hill. It is very overgrown and difficult to see from a distance. Southeast ¼ Section 15, Township 25, Range 4E, 340200N, 0895149W. This cemetery was originally recorded by S. A. Swearengen in 1975. It was updated by Charlotte Swearengen on Mar 7, 1985 and she has pictures of most of the headstones. The latest update was by Mike Worsham on June 21, 1999. Allen, Mary Ellen/11-07-1844/06-30-1927/sister of Elizabeth J.
