HAROLD VINCENT MCGOVERN Harold Vincent McGovern, 81, passed away Saturday, Aug. 21, 1994 at his home, 1732 Lewis Ave. in Billings. He was born June 23, 1913 at the home in Big Horn, Wy. the son of James Vincent and Hazel May McGovern. He was raised in the Sheridan area and worked on various dude ranches in the area. He met his bride, Mary Anna Boys, at a country dance hall in Sheridan. They were married Aug. 27, 1938, at the bride's ranch home southwest of Wyola, MT. They honeymooned in the Big Horn Mountains on horseback. Harold is survived by his wife, Mary Anna, a son, James B. and daughter, Letha Johannes of Billings, two sister, Norm Wren and Darleen Hollingworth, both of Sheridan, WY. grandchildren, Christy Willoughby and husband Joe of Napa, Calif. Cameron Curry and wife Barbara of Escondido, Calif. Lara McGovern of Colorado Springs, CO. Joel Johannes of Eureka, Calif. Brian Vincent McGovern, Mark McGovern and Ronda Johannes all of Billings; AFS granddaughter, Griselle Mojica in Panama; and great grand children Kayla Willoughby and Jordan Curry. Mr. McGovern was a Mason and rode for the Shrine Black Horse Patrol. He served as a director to the Big Horn Co. REA, school board and many other civic organizations. He was always there with a helping hand and spirit for anyone, anywhere. Funeral services will be held at 2:p.m Tues at Michelotti, Sawyers and Nordquist with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
