The Rev. Joseph Ashworth officiated. Mrs. Norman B. Gardner sang "In the Garden" and "No Night There". She was accompanied by Mrs. Waito Koski. Pallbearers were Leslie Lyons, John Sim, George Horton, Mark Early, Walter Wood and Roy Reed. Committal was in the mausoleum at the Red Lodge cemetary. She was born October 28, 1880 at Sandstone, Mich., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hathaway. She married John R. McFate in Concord, Mich., January 9, 1901 and they came to Red Lodge immediately after and have lived here ever since. Mrs. McFate was a member of the Red Lodge Congregational church, Venus chapter No. 32, O.E.S., the Morning Star Rebekah lodge, the Eagles Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Woman's club of Red Lodge, the Business and Professional Women's club, and the Home Circle. Surviving besides her husband are one son, Alex of Red Lodge; a daughter, Mrs. George Thompson of Buffalo, Wyo, a sister, Mrs. Arthur Voorhees of Battle Creek, Mich; a brother, Claude Jones of Concord, Mich; three grandchildren and a number of neices and nephews.
