	County of Carbon

TO ANY PERSON AUTHORIZED TO SOLEMNIZE MARRIAGES – GREETINGS:

	You are hereby authorized to join in Lawful Wedlock and to celebrate 
within this County the Rites and Ceremonies of Marriage between 
Claude D. Allen a man, whose color is white whose residence is 
Chance, Montana whose age is 20 years, born at Martinsdale County of 
Meagher and State of Montana and who has not been previously married 
or divorced:  his father’s Christian and Surname –is-was- John F. 
Allen his mother’s Christian and Maiden name was- Alma S. Bell, and 
Stella B. Simpson a woman, whose color is white whose residence is 
Chance, Montana  whose age is 17 years, born at Red Lodge then county 
of Park and State of Montana and who has not been previously married 
or divorced:  her father’s Christian and Surname –is-was-  Peter O. 
Simpson her mother’s Christian and Maiden name was- Estella Lucas  
both parties being legally competent to enter into such contract of 
Marriage.  And this shall be your good and sufficient warrant 
therefore.

	THIS IS TO CERTIFY, That the undersigned a Minister of the Gospel 
did on the 11th day of January A. D. 1912 at Red Lodge in the said 
County of Carbon and State of Montana, join in Lawful Wedlock Claude 
D. Allen and Stella B. Simpson with their mutual consent.  In the 
presence of Frank Simpson and Irene Simpson witnesses.
