Anaconda Standard, December 9, 1903
Deer Lodge, Dec. 8 -- Edwin O. Chaffin of Corvallis, Ravalli county and Mrs. 
Alva Lewis of Bridger, Carbon County, were married to-day in the office of the 
clerk of the court, Justice Thomas Catlin performing the ceremony, which was 
witnessed by the county commissioners, who were in session in the county 
clerk's office, but who took a recess in order to be present. Mr. and Mrs. 
Chaffin took the afternoon train for their future home in Corvallis. The groom, 
who was born in Missoula county, is aged 35, and the bride is 42.
