OLD SETTLER DEAD -- 

Great Falls, Sept. 15. -- Mrs. Barbara Goon, widow of Jonathan Goon, who was 
one of the early pioneers to the state, died at the Deaconess hospital in this 
city this morning, at the age of 55 years. For the past 17 years, Mrs. Goon was 
a resident of Sand Coulee and for many years previous to that time lived at 
Canyon Ferry, in Meagher county. She was born in Cincinnati and came west to 
Montana when a child. Four children survived her, Mrs. C. M. Ramsey, Oscar 
Goon, George Goon and Frank Goon, who, at present, are residents of this 
county. The funeral will take place from Berthold's undertaking parlors 
tomorrow morning.
