His older siblings were: Orlea Violeta (1894 Iowa - unknown); Stella Clara (1896 Iowa - 1989 Montana) and Jennings Palmer (1898 Iowa - 1958 Montana). Found in the 1910 census living at Great Falls, Cascade, Montana: Oliver Johnsrud 39, Nora V Johnsrud 36, Orlie V Johnsrud 15, Stella Johnsrud 13, Jennings Johnsrud 11, Orvin Johnsrud 9. Found in the 1920 census at Dist # 12, Sweet Grass, Montana: Olavus Johnson 49, Nora Johnson 46, Jenning Johnson 21, Oran Johnson 19. Orin married Edith Agnes McCann on February 16, 1929. The couple had 1 son, James Orin Johnsrud (1931-1976). The couple later divorced. Found in the 1930, 1940 censuses living at Fort Benton, Chouteau, Montana: 1930: Olavus J Johnsrud 59, Nora V Johnsrud 56, Orin Johnsrud 29, Edith Johnsrud 23. Says he is a proprietor in the coal business. 1940: Orin Johnsrud 37, Edith Johnsrud 32, James Johnsrud 9. Working as a truck driver. 1950's: Found in Great Falls, Montana City directories working as a painter. Orin died July 23, 1958 at Great Falls, Cascade, Montana in a drowning accident and was buried at the Highland Cemetery, Great Falls, Cascade, Montana. Find A Grave Memorial# 50460597 Article from the Daily Inter Lake, Kalispell, Montana: July 24, 1958: GREAT FALLS MAN DROWNS IN RIVER: Funeral services were pending today for Orin Johnsrud, 57, of Great Falls who drowned yesterday in the Missouri River about 1/4 mile south of the First Avenue bridge. Johnsrud was the river's third victim in the past four days. Two fisherman spotted his body as it was floating near the east shore and hooked it with their fishing lines. They pulled the body to shore and notified police.
