He was born at Westphalen, Germany on January 15, 1854. He was the son of Conrad Schultz and Amalie Weber. Mr. Schultz received his early education at a private school at Annen, Germany. In 1879, he immigrated to the United States, making his home in Colorado, engaging in mining operatiions there for three years. He pioneered in many western states and Canada, making most of the trips overland. In the summer of 1889, he located on his ranch near Warrick. At that time he was associated with Bielenberg and Boyce in the sheep industry. Later he went into the business for himself, which he carried on a large scale. At the time of his death he had one of the largest and best stocked ranches in the localaity, being a prosperous and progressive rancher. On April 16, 1898, he married Mrs. Minnie Schmid at Great Falls. Mr. Schultz had many friends throughout the county and state. He leaves to mourn his passing, his widow Mrs. Minnie B. Schultz, a step- daughter, Mrs. Rosa May, both of Warrick and countless friends throughout the country.
