Adams, 79, Lewistown, died Thursday at a local nursing home following an extended illness. She was born April 8, 1899, in Medicine Lodge, KS. the daughter of William and Buena Marquand. She received her education in Medicine Lodge and on Jan. 15, 1917 she was united marriage to Benjamin H. Adams in Alva, Okla. After their marriage they lived in New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado before settling in the Valentine area in 1945. They lived there until moving to Lewistown in 1955, He died in'1973 and she continued to live in Lewistown. She was a marvelous cook and loved to do needlework. She also sent several' of her grandchildren through high school in Lewistown. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Doralee) Coldiron 'of Hotchkiss, CO., and Mrs. Merlin (Ruth) Busenbark of Roy; two sisters, Nora Redwine of Lake City, KS., and Stella Williams of Haysville, KS; 1O grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Nana E. Adams will be Monday at 2 p.m., in the Cloyd Chapel with the Rev. Richard Metzger of Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens of Lewistown. Friends wishing to do so may make memorials to the Emmanuel Baptist Church and they may be left at the funeral home.
