Lewistown Paper 1-10-1974 Lewistown, MT-Fergus County Clarence L 'Fritz' Bristol, 73, well known Lewistown area resident, was pronounced dead an arrival at the Central Montana Hospital Tuesday morning He was born Nov. 11, 1900 on the old Eldridge Ranch on Cottonwood %reek, the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bristol The family moved to Beaver Creek when he was a boy He attended schools at Cottonwood, Beaver Creek and was graduated from Fergus County High School in 1920. He also attended the University off Montana at Missoula Bristol was a painting and stucco contractor in Los Angeles, CA, for ten years. He married Genevieve N Miller Dec 3, 1936, in Lewistown After their marriage they ranched in Paradise Valley for 22 years in 1951 they moved to Upper Spring Creek, where they lived for eight years while he was a real estate broker. He retired in 1966 and they moved into Lewistown. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and a trustee of the Paradise School district for many years Survivors include the widow of Lewistown; one son, Norman Bristol of Bozeman: one daughter, Mrs. Ed (Shirley) Hofferber. Helena: three brothers, Frank Bristol of Sebastopol CA, William Bristol of St. Ignatius, and Charles Bristol of Beaver Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Allen (Nellie) Bates, Vallejo, CA, and Mrs. Ned (Bessie) Gall, Milton Freewater, OR: four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p. m, at the Creel-Morrison-Retz Chapel with the Rev Norman Mayberry officiating Burial will be in the Beaver Creek Cemetery.
