Lewistown Paper 12-4-1990 Lewistown, MT Fergus County Ernest Eastin Harrell, Sr., 78 of Lewistown and Roy, died Tuesday, December 4, at Valle Vista Manor after a lengthy illness. He was born September 28, 1912 in Cadwell, IL, a son of Evert and Hester Harrell and attended school in Hilger and Roy, and at the Molar Barber College in Spokane, WA. On July 22, 1940, he married Nona L Daniels in Idaho Falls. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, past secretary and board member of the Roy Rodeo Club. And past president of the Lewistown Barber Association. Mr. Harrell moved from Idaho with his wife and their two oldest sons in 1943 and lived the past 27 years in Lewistown, where he worked as a barber until his retirement in 1975. He ranched in the Roy area prior to that. He will be best remembered by his family and multitude of friends as a person who could always be counted on to help in a hard spot. Preceding him in death were his father and mother; two brothers, Jake and Butch; a sister Martha Ann; his son Danny Joe; and a granddaughter Melanie. Mr. Harrell is survived by his loving wife Nona; six sons, Lewis and his wife Mona of Roy, Tom and his wife Peggy of Boise, Idaho, Jesse and his wife Gayle of Kimberly, Idaho, Ernest. Jr. and his wife Irene of Havre, Mike L. and his wife Kass of Jackson, WY, Tim and his wife Suzy of Lewistown; three daughters, Patsy Heppner and her husband Wayne of Colstrip, Edna Crouch and her husband Larry of Sedalia, MO, Tamie Ramsey and her husband Kevin, of Winslow,. AZ; two brothers, Harold of Idaho Falls and Jim of Ashton, Idaho; three sisters Ruby Tull of Roundup, Marie Hall of Lewistown, Lucille Kalal of Lewistown; 35 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Ernest Eastin Harrell are scheduled for Saturday, December 8 at 1 p.m. at the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Wesley Gibbs presiding. Burial will follow, with a horse- drawn carriage leading the procession to the Lewistown City Cemetery. The Creel-Morrison-Retz funeral home is in charge of arrangements. An open house for everyone will be held at the LDS Church immediately following the services.
