Horacek, 73, Lewistown, died October 30 at Fort Harrison Veterans Hospital after a short illness. He was born January 8, 1917 in Roy, the son of Frank and Rose Horacek. After his education in Roy, he joined the Army and served during World War II. In 1948 he married Stephanie Huculak in Lewistown. He returned to Lewistown after the war and worked in the timber in industry for several years. He then worked at the gypsum plant at Heath, prior to going to work for the State Highway department, working throughout Montana. After his retirement he returned to live in Lewistown. He was a member of the American Legion. & VFW. Mr. Horacek is survived by three daughters, Linda Blakemore of Roy, Cathy and LeAnn Horacek of Lewistown,; five son, Dan of Roy, David and Dale of San Francisco, CA, Bill of Lewistown, Ronald of Napa, CA; brothers Ralph of Roy and Stanley of Lewistown. He was preceded in death by a son Donald. Memorial services are to held at a later date and will be announced by the Creel-Morrison-Ritz Funeral Home.
