LEWISTOWN, MT - FERGUS COUNTY

Selmer J. Kolstad, 89, of Lewistown died Monday evening, Nov, 29, at Central Montana Medical Center 
following a lengthy illness.

He was born Aug. 22, 1904, at Larrimore, ND, the son of Christian C, and Anna S. Kolstad.

He came with his family to Montana m 1908 where they homesteaded at Liberty County. He received his 
education at Prairie Rose School in Liberty County.

He married Bessie Violett in June, 1930, at Lawrenceburg, Mo. He and Nellie Smith were married in 
Lewistown in 1989. He farmed and ranched in Liberty County until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his first wife, Bessie, in 1967.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie of Lewistown: one son, Howard of Lewistown: four grandchildren: and 
six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 3, at the Creel Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m., with interment at Highland 
Cemetery at Great Falls Friday at 2
