Ivar M, Mathison, 89, a former homesteader in the Roy area, died Dec. 3 at the Stillwater Care Center in 
Columbus.

Mr. Mathison was born April 21, 1901 in Norway and attended schools there.

He came to Montana in 1922, homesteading and farming in the Roy area for46 years.

He was married in 1927 in Lewistown to Bertine 'Tina" Hansen. They moved to a small farm near Columbus in 
1968 He was a member of the Sons of Norway.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Mathison of Duncanville, TX. and Marvin Mathison of Silesia, MT,

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Vivian Fogle, in 1979 and his wife in 1981.
Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 27, at Creel-Morrison-Retz Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth 
Olson officiating.

Burial will be in Lewistown City Cemetery.
