Myers, 53, Roy area farmer and rancher, died Monday evening at Central Montana Hospital after an illness of several months. Rosary will be recited 7 this evening at the Creel-Morrison-Retz Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, with Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, with military honors at grave side. Myers was born March 3, 1929, in Spokane, WA., the son of Stella and Michael Myers. He spent his entire life on where his parents homesteaded, l7 miles east of Roy. He attended schools in Roy, where he was taught by his mother. After his graduation from Roy High School in 1940, he attended Gonzaga University in Spokane where he majored in engineering. Myers served in the Pacific Theater in the Army during World War II. After his service he returned to Roy and purchased the ranch east of Roy. He was residing there at the time his death. He was married to Agusta Fink, November 6, 1946, in Lewistown. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Roy American Legion Post No. 96, past chairman of the Valley View School District, past secretary of the Roy Farmers Union, and past member of the Roy School Board and past chairman Roy High School Board. Survivors include his wife of Roy; six daughters, Jennifer and Shannon of Roy, Theresa, Sheila, and Mrs. Nanette Miller at Lewistown, and Mrs. Marvin Tyson, Gillette, WY; two sons, Mark of Roy and Donald M. Myers of Lewistown, and six grandchildren His parents both preceded him in death this year.
