Potterf, 75, will be held Thursday at 2 p m at the Creel-Morrison-Retz Chapel with Rev. Gordon E. Parke. Interment will be in the Lewistown City Cemetery Potterf died Monday morning at his residence in Lewistown after battling cancer for nine months. The family preferred memorials to the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center of Billings, or the Hospice of Lewistown. The memorials can be left at the funeral home The son of Oscar and Anna Potterf, he was born Nov, 14, 1910 in Raymond, IL. He came to the Roy area with his parents in 1914 when they homesteaded north of Roy. After his schooling he worked on various ranches in the Roy area for several years prior to going to work for the Milwaukee Railroad. Potterf married Lillis M Housel Sept. 10, 1937 in Great Falls. After his marriage they lived in Roy far several years until 1942 when he went to work for the ASCS. In 1946 he moved back to the Central Montana area and worked on several ranches in the Lewistown area He moved into Lewistown in 1953 and went to work for the Montana Elevator Company, working for them for 22 years He retired from the elevator and has worked since for the Lewistown News-Argus and was presently employed by them at the time of his death. Survivors including his wife of Lewistown, two sons, Andrew J. "Jack" Hemsing of Billings and Richard F Potterf of Red Lodge; one grandson, Jon E. Hemsing of Trandheim, Norway, and one sister, Alice Mae Canon of Ponca City, Okla.
