"Bill" Mohn, 60, died Tuesday evening in Kalispell Regional Hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Kalispell, a son of Mens and Hilda Rude Mohn. He attended Kalispell schools until entering the U.S. Army Sept. 16, 1940. He served overseas in the 163rd Infanty Regiment, 41st Divisioin, until receiving his honorable discharge Nov. 14, 1945, at Fort Lewis, Wash. He then returned to the Flathead Valley where he worked as a plumber and pipefitter with Service Plumbing as well as with Birch Plumbing and Lyford Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 459. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters. He married Janet K. DeLandelles in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia, on Nov. 24, 1943, and is survived by her at the family home. He is also survived by one son, James Earl Mohn of Kalispell; two daughters, Gayle N. Mohn of St. Regis and Mrs. Dan (Glenda L.) Schulze of Kalispell; one brother, Marvin Mohn of North Highlands, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Glen (Evelyn) Johnston of Arlee, Mrs. Don (Norma) Bardwell of Lakeside, Ore., and Carolyn Hart of Kalispell; and four grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. George Baugh officiating. Burial will be in Glacier Memorial Gardens where military graveside rites will be conducted. Visitation at the Johnson Mortuary will be until 8 p.m. Friday. The casket will not be opened at the services. The family suggests memorials to the Arthritis Foundation. --"The Daily Inter Lake", 29 Jul 1982
