Joseph Sherry, 96, Lakeside, died Thursday evening in the Montana Veterans 
Home in Columbia Falls, where he had resided for 2½ years.  He had been 
employed in the graphic arts field for more than 60 years in Illinois.  He was 
born Nov. 22, 1890, in Chicago and served in the U.S. Army during World War 1. 
On Feb. 19, 1919, he married Ella Necker in Berwyn, Ill., and they lived there 
in the same home in Berwyn until moving to Lakeside in 1981 to be near 
relatives.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella, on Feb. 7, 1983 and a 
daughter, Joan Dahms.
He is survived by a daughter, Irene Novak, Lakeside; five grandchildren, 10 
great grandchildren and several other relatives.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Johnson Mortuary Chapel 
with the Rev. Michael O'Neill of St. Matthew's Catholic Church officiating.  
Burial will be in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
