Logan Cemetery The following information was obtained from a booklet titled "Old Tombstone Records in Gallatin County, Montana Cemeteries 1957. It was compiled in 1955-1956 and 1957 by the Montana Hyalite Chapter Daughters of American Revolution. I was kindly given permission to transcribe their records and submit them for free public use. Nov 17, 1911 W M Carpenter and Mary Carpenter of Logan to Gallatin County 1 and 14/100 acres more or less for $1.00. Cemetery was in use for many years. This cemetery is high on a hill about 1 mile West of Logan. Logan is now a junction on Northern Pacific Railway. It was originally a stopping point for stages operating between Helena and Bozeman and was then known as Canon House. It was renamed later in 1883 for Mrs Odelia Logan from whom the railroad acquired the right of way.
