Willow Creek Private Cemetery Gallatin Co. Mt The following information was obtained from a booklet titled "Old Tombstone Records in Gallatin County, Montana Cemeteries 1957. It was compiled in 1955-1956 and 1957 by the Montana Hyalite Chapter Daughters of American Revolution. I was kindly given permission to transcribe their records and submit them for free public use. Willow Creek Private Cemetery of Rev L B Stateler and wife Malinda S Stateler (A prominent early day South Methodist Minister and his wife) Inscription on stone: Sacred to the memory of Malinda S, wife of L B Stateler, member of Montana annual conference of M E Church South, for 53 yrs she bore with her husband, toils and privations of the itinerancy and departed this life in hope of eternal life on Sat AM April 13, 1889 Rev Learner Blackman Stateler, who in his youth began to preach until 65 yrs of age. He departed this life May 1, 1896. At Rest 2 small markers MSS LBS A strong iron pipe fence with gate surrounds the graves also a barbed wire fence which further insures privacy.
