The only record of Louie Chinaman is recorded in the Garnet Cash 
Grocery ledger for September 19, 24, 1898 at Garnet, Montana.  His 
purchases were for soap, salt, lard, cookies, sugar sago, matches, 
oil, flour and coal oil.  He paid in cash or with placer gold.
