Market at Garnet, Montana.  He also owned a ranch near Helmville, 
Montana.  Mrs. Peterson stayed in Garnet and managed the market.

Their living quarters were beside the market where they carried 
their water from springs.  Mr. Peterson brought meat to the market 
and also pork and chickens he obtained from other ranchers.

In 1902 the Peterson children attended school in Garnet.  They 
were afraid of the Chinese in Garnet.
