Lewis, age 25 of New Westminster, B. C., and Genvieve Armstrong, age 24 of Havre. Amrstrong-Lewis The wedding of Miss Genevieve Armstrong of Havre to Evan L. Lewis of New Westminister, B. C. took place last evening at 8 o'clock at the Van Orsdel Methodist church, the Rev. Henry Van Valkenburgh officiating. The beautiful ring ceremony of the Methodist church, of which the bride is a member, was used. Before the ceremony Mrs. George Wright sang "Oh Promise Me". The bridal party entered the church to the strains of the wedding march from The Lohengren, beautifully played by Mrs. Herbert Armstrong. Mrs. L. G. Armstrong, mother of the bride, was escorted by her son, Everett, and following them came the ribbon bearers, the bridesmaids, the maid of honor and the flower girls. The bride entered on the arm of her father, who gave her in marriage. They were met at the alter by the groom, attended by his brother, Val Lewis as best man. As the bridal party departed Mendelsohnn's wedding march was rendered. The church was beautifully decorated in ferns and palms, the latter arranged around the alter and beneath an arch of silver and ferns under which the ceremony was performed. The bride was gowned in white canton crepe, heavily beaded with crystal. She wore a veil of white silk net, clasped with orange blossoms. Silver slippers completed the costume. She carried a shower bouquet of rose buds and narcissus. The maid of honor, Miss Evelyn Lord of Great Falls, wore a gown of yellow georgette over orchid taffeta and carried a bouquet of rose buds and narcissus. The bridesmaids were Miss Grace Moe and Miss Gertrude Shepard. Miss Moe was gowned in rose georgette and Miss Shepard wore a gown of blue georgette. Both carried bouquets of rose buds and narcissus. The bride's maids and the maid of honor wore silver bandeaux and silver slippers. The ribbon bearers, Margaret Foss and Virginia Reierson, wore pink and orchid frocks and the flower girls, Nelta Armstrong and Emlyn Griggs, were dressed in pink georgette. The bride's mother, Mrs. L. G. Armstrong, wore a gown of figured chiffon over green crepe de chine and wore a corsage of violets and rose buds. Following the wedding a reception was given in honor of the bridal couple at the home of the bride's parents from 9:30 to 11:30. the house was decorated in evergreens. White wedding bells were hung in the archways. An evergreen wreath was hung over the fireplace which was decorated with candles and a large mantle clock. The receiving line consisted of Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Armstrong, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Lewis, Miss Evelyn Lord and Mr. Val Lewis. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Charles Sharfe, Mrs. Louis Otto, Mrs. O. D. Butterfield and Mrs. C. R. Reierson. They were assisted by Miss Georgia Lange, Miss Georgia Conley, Miss Mabel Bassette, Miss Ruth Shepard, Miss Olive Ritchie and Miss Gladys Ritchie. The gifts were placed on three tables in the living room. A beautiful wrist watch was the gift of the bridegroom to the bride and the maid of honor and the bride's maids received monogramed dorenes. Mrs. Lewis has spent most of her life in Havre and graduated from the high school in 1919. She then attended Washington State college at Pullman, Wash., where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sororiety. Mr. Lewis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lewis, of New Westminister, B. C. He attended the University of Washington at Seattle, and was a member of the Delta Upsilion faternity. He was prominent in athletics at the university and was captain of the varsity basketball team for two seasons. Mr. Lewis is now engaged in the lumbering industry with his father. Amoung the out of town guests who attended the wedding were Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas of Appleton, Wis., grandmother of the bride, Mrs. Louise Armstrong of Outlook, Wash., grandmother of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Armstrong and daughter, Nelta, of Minot, N. D., Mr. and Mrs. Gus Rothgran of Minot, N. D., Mrs. B. E. Lord of Great Falls, Mr. and Mrs. C. Shankenberger of Wolf Point, Miss Esther Garnell of Conrad and Miss Helen Stam of Chinook. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis left by an early morning train on a wedding trip to Seattle, Spokand and Portland and will be at home at 909 Tenth Street, New Westminister, B. C. after February 1.
