Morgan came to the Boulder Valley to join her mother, Mrs. Mary Francis Morgan (a Civil War widow), and her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Titus. Mr. Titus was a mining engineer located at Elkhorn, Montana. The Titus family and Mrs. Morgan arrived in Elkhorn just after 1890. Mrs. Morgan located a homestead on Elkhorn Creek in the Boulder Valley. James Ryan (son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ryan, pioneers of the Boulder Valley) and Florence (Estella) Morgan were married in 1894 and lived for a time on the Bill Ryan place in the Valley. Children born to the couple were: Margaret, October 11, 1895; Frances (Frank) Edward, November 4, 1896; Florence Helen, July 4, 1898; and Evelyn, August 3, 1900. The family moved from the Valley to Whitehall, then back to Cold Springs, to Butte, and then to Seattle, Washington. In April, 1917, Francis enlisted in the Navy and soon after Margaret and Helen joined the Navy too as yeomanettes . After the war, the family moved to the Los Angeles, California, area where the four children and their families still reside. Margaret Ryan White lives at the Leisure World Retirement Center at Seal Beach, California. Frank (Francis) and his wife, Rena , live at 8315 Lurline Avenue, Canoga Park, California. Helen Ryan and her husband Aubrey Patterson, are at 10900 Sepulvada Boulevard, Mission Hills, California. They have one son and three grandsons. Evelyn Ryan Wall lives in Long Beach - 6461 Lemon Street. She has three daughters, one son, nine grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. That about brings it up to date. They are all reasonably healthy considering the amount of water that has gone under the bridge. SUBMITTED BY MR. FRANCIS (FRANK) RYAN
