JOHN KNOCHE - pg 1183 From Leeson's History of Montana 1739-1885 published 1885 SURNAMES FOUND IN THIS BIOGRAPHY: CHOLTZ John Knoche, P. O. Clancy, is a son of Henry and Kate Knoche, and was born in Prussia on the 28th day of June, 1840. He came to the United States in 1866, and was married in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Margaret Choltz, in 1868. He is an inventor, and has been granted patents on several very useful and important articles. He came to Montana in September, 1882, and has since been engaged in mining, having a five stamp mill at his mines.
