Clancy, ranch owner in the Missouri and prickly Pear valleys, a native of Glengarry, Canada, where he was born December 23, 1884; came to Montana from Pennsylvania August 7, 1869. He moved from Canada to Pennsylvania in 1865; visited York State in 1867; re-visited Canada, Pennsylvania and Missouri in 1868-69; came to Benton via the river, and by coach to Helena. He located a ranch in the prickly pear valley and resided there until the fall of 1879, when he purchased his present ranch in the Missouri Valley, near Mitchell's Gulch. His ranches are fully stocked.
