Sweet, Boulder city, son of J. N. and Mary Sweet, was born in Scioto co., O., August 27, 1838, and remained in that section of country until 1866, when he removed to Montana. During his residence here he has engaged in merchandising and mining. For eight years he has sold goods in Boulder valley. Mr. Sweet is a thorough business man who overcomes all obstacles. He can relate many interesting incidents of early life in Montana of Indian troubles, bear hunts, etc. He is at this time proprietor or Boulder Hot Springs; has a large hotel and pays attention to the wants of his friends and the health seeking public. He has at this place a bath house containing six large baths and adjoining dressing rooms; also a very spacious plunge bath for swimming purposes, 70x20 feet and five feet deep - a most delightful place for bathing. The curative properties of this water are wonderful. One gentleman who, when he came, was so ill with rheumatism that he had to be carried daily on a stretcher to the bath, became able to walk about and was comparatively well in two weeks's time. In a word, Boulder Hot Springs is one of the real health resorts of Montana. It is located two miles east of Boulder City.
