Mr. Weber was a carpenter and built many of the valley homes, including the little Catholic Church, St. John's, in the year 1880-1881. He also built the caskets for his wife and children to be buried in. He was the Postmaster in 1888, also having the office in his home. Delivery was once a week at his Post Office and the neighbors collected their mail from there. It is not sure which year Mr. Weber came to the Valley. He was married and he and his wife are both buried in the little Valley Cemetery. His home was a short way from the Murphy ranch, and when he became old and ill, Bill, Frank, and Eddie Murphy carried wood, water, and checked to see that he was comfortable. He died at his home in the Valley. Years later, Tom Murphy found some of his carpenter tools which were still in good shape. The Murphy home is one of the buildings he built. SUBMITTED BY MRS. MARY ELLEN MURPHY
