WILLIAMS - pg 1187 From Leeson's History of Montana 1739-1885 published 1885 SURNAME FOUND IN THIS BIOGRAPHY: DAVIS David T. Williams, P. O. Radersburg, son of Thomas and Rachel Williams, was born eleven miles from Swansen, South Wales, Great Britain, in 1835. His father was a farmer by occupation. In 1856 Mrs. Williams left Wales and came to Pennsylvania, where he staid for three months and thence went to Pomeroy, O., six months afterward moving to Mason City, w. Va., where he was employed in mining. In the spring of 1858 he moved to Surrey Co., Cal., and mined there until 1863, when he came to Reese River, remaining at that place for two years, mining most of the time. Here he bought a team and loaded for Salt Lake, and at the latter place married and settled down for about two years. From Salt Lake he went to the upper end of Muhlad Valley, and began raising stock. Came to Crow Creek in 1870 and bought a ranch of 160 acres, where he lived five or six years and which he still owns. He entered his present ranch of 200 acres under the Desert Act. The latter ranch is nearly all fenced and under cultivation, and has good buildings and improvements. Mr. Williams was married to Miss Anna Davis in September, 1865, and has six children living; Emma, Rachel, Eddie, Nettie, David and Nellie. Two children are deceased.
