AGNES TAYLOR, RUBY MATRON, DIES IN BUTTE Requiem mass was celebrated today in the Catholic Church at Laurin for Mrs. Agnes Taylor,68, lifelong Ruby resident who died Thursday in a Butte hospital. Interment was in the Laurin Cemetary with Chester Stine, Frank and Orville Kelly, Hugh Carey, Corby Tilton and Charles Miller serving as pallbearers. Born on the old Clark place near Sheridan, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of John and Margaret McGovern Staudaher, pioneer residents of Ruby Valley. She attended schools in Adobetown and Ruby. She married Fred Taylor in 1920 and they lived continuously on a ranch at Ruby which Mr. Taylor had homesteaded. They sold the ranch several years ago and retired but had continued to live in the ranch house. Survivors in addition to her husband, are a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor, Weed Heights, Nev.; sisters, Mrs. Ray Manning, Twin Bridges and Mrs. Lucille Pierce, Sheridan; grandchildren, Harold McDowell, Jr., Rita Wilson and Berthel Daoud; five great grandchildren; aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Taylor was preceeded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Harold McDowell. Note: Mrs. Ray MANNING (Mildred STAUDAHER) was my Aunt. Linda Manning Jupep@aol.com
