(Virginia City, Montana Territory [i.e. Mont.]) 1864-1869: October 14, 1865 We are sorry to record the death of Miss Nannie Wilson, a young lady of great amiability and worth, and who held a high place in the esteem of all who knew her. Few that saw her so recently, in the bloom of youth and the hey-day of happiness, can realize, for the moment, that she is now no more-yet so it is. On the 5th of last month, she was taken seriously ill, while traveling in a private conveyance, with John Clarke's train, to the States, and died at Fort Bridger, on the 8th. The deceased young lady thus unexpectedly cut off, in the flower of her days, was, we believe, from the neighborhood of Tipton, Pettis county, Missouri, and had not long completed her sixteenth year. Miss Wilson was an orphan, and lived with the uncle and aunt, who reared her, and in whose company she was returning. Her memory will be cherished by the many sincere friends with whom her amiable disposition had surrounded her.
