Anaconda Standard - Monday Morning, December 31, 1900
Missoula, Dec. 30 -- The funeral of Fred Sparks was held this afternoon from 
the Baptist church, Rev. F. J. Salsman officiating. There was a large 
attendance of friends of the young man and his family and there have been many 
expressions of sympathy for the parents of the youny man, who have a wide 
circle of acquaintances all over the state. His father, G. W. Sparks, has been 
identified with the lumber interests of Western Montana for many years.

Mr. Sparks desires through the Standard to assure his friends of his 
appreciation of their kindly interest and thoughtfulness during the illness of 
his son and for their attention after his death. He extends his sincere thanks 
to all.
