The Anaconda Standard -- Sept. 19, 1905
Hamilton, Sept. 18 -- The marriage of Dwight William Hughes and Miss Bessie 
Anna Totman took place here early this morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. 
E. Totman on Main street.  Promptly at 5 o'clock Rev. Mr. Cockcroft, rector of 
St. Paul's Episcopal church in this city, stepped into the parlor, which was 
prettily decorated with white asters, from an adjoining room.  He was met by 
the bride on the arm of her father and the other members of the bridal party.  
The impressive service of the Episcopal church as read.

After the service the wedding party, consisting of the bride and groom, Mr. and 
Mrs. George Beckwith and children of St. Igatnius, W. C. Lubreck of Bonner, 
Miss Jimmie Mills and Miss Beckwith of Missoula and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Totman 
of this city, retired to the dining room, where an elaborate breakfast was 
served.

The bride, who was gowned in a green silk traveling dress, is the youngest 
daugher of J. E. Totman, superintendent of the lumber department of the A. C. 
M. company in Hamilton, and has lived here for several years.  She is a sweet 
and charming young woman and counts her friends by the score, both in Hamilton 
and Missoula.  Mr. Hughes, who made Hamilton his home until two years ago, is 
the cashier of the Butte Inter Mountain.

Mr. and Mrs. Hughes left on the early train for Butte en route to California on 
a wedding tour.  They will make Butte their home after Nov. 1.
