Bomar, 95, of Fromberg, went home to God on Tuesday, June 9, 1998. He was born Feb. 26, 1903, to Bert Walter Bomar and Mary Weber Bomar at Fromberg. He grew up in Fromberg and lived on the family farm his entire life. He worked for the Orchard Canal for 30 years or more and was the community veterinarian in the Clarks Fork Valley. Albert enjoyed life. His favorite pastime was playing jokes on his friends. In his early years, he and his brothers played music for the school house and barn dances, and always had a story to tell about the "good old days." On Feb. 21, 1925, he married Mamie Ward in Red Lodge and together they had four children. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son and grandson, as well as four brothers, four sisters, and many nieces and nephews. He is survived by two daughters, Mildred Cook and her husband, Neil of Huntley and Irene Graham of Billings; a son, Irvin Bomar and his wife, Linda of Texas. Albert had 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Albert loved all children and they loved him. He will be missed by his many friends and family. He has gone on to a better place and is probably "breaking open a keg of nails" to get things going. Good bye Albert, Dad, and Grandpa! Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 12, 1998, at Rockvale Cemetery. Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel was in charge of arrangements.
