Henningsen, Jr. of this ciy, announcing the death of his father, Frederick Asmus Henningsen Sr. Mr. Henningsen had but recently left Butte to visit two of his daughters in Denmark. He visited several other children en route and arrived in Denmark on Jan. 15. Mr. Henningsen was the pioneer member of the Henningsen family in this country. He was the father of 12 children and had 40 grandchildren. He is survived by four sons and eight daughters as follows: Anker P. Henningsen, Walter F. Henningsen, Mrs. E. E. Horgan, Mrs. F. M. Cronkhite of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. R. A. McArthur, Mrs. Kenneth Chrisite, Mrs. Paul Wolcott and Fred A. Henningsen Jr. of Butte, Mrs. Peter Johnsen of Superior, Neb.; Victor Henningsen of New York, Mrs. Christian Friis and Mrs. Aage F. Johansen of Kolding, Denmark. Mr. Henningsen was visiting with the two latter daughters at the time of his death. He left Butte on Dec. 21 visiting his daughter in Superior, and his son Victor in New York en route. He sailed from that city on Jan. 3 aboard the Danish liner Frederick VIII. He had been in failing health since the loss of his beloved wife, Agnes Frederick Henningsen, who passed away in Portland, Sept. 17, 1918, after a brief illness. Mr. Henningsen was born in Satrup, Germany, May 8, 1848. Mr. and Mrs. Henningsen left Denmark with a family of 10 children in 1888, coming to Denver, Col., where he engaged in the produce business. Later he removed to Superior, Neb., where he established the Henningsen Produce company. In 1889 he established the Henningsen Produce company in Butte. He had been engaged in the produce business in Denmark from his youth until he came to this country. Mr. Henningsen had a large circle of friends amoung pioneer merchants and business men of Butte. His was one of the largest business concerns in this city in the early days of the mining industry here. His death will be deeply regretted by very many old timers, who helped him to establish the business community of this city. The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.
