Anaconda Standard - March 1, 1928
The funeral of John Hiland was held yesterday morning from his home, 825 North 
Excelsior street, with the cortege proceeding to Immaculate Conception church, 
where requiem high mass was chanted at 9:30 by the Rev. Father Turnbull. The 
interment was made in Holy Cross cemetery, with the Rev. Msgr. Willging 
officiating. The pallbearers were William Kennedy, Felix Mallon, William 
Shields, Thomas Curtis, John Monley and Mike Murphy.
