This morning at 12:30 Marco Medin, one of Butte's oldest residents, died at his 
home at West Broadway after a short illness. He was 77 yeas old and his death 
was due to old age. Mr. Medin was born at Buddua, Austria, and went to 
California in 1853. He came to Butte in 1884 and ever since has been engaged in 
the grocery business. He leaves a family of six children, five of whom live in 
Butte: Marco J. and Anthony Medin, two well known business men of this city; 
Mrs. J. J. O'Meara, Mrs. W. O. O'Brien and Mrs. John G. Holland live here, 
while the other daughter Mrs. Zarack, lives at Sacramento California.
