Montana Standard, September 12, 1928
Miss Mary Josephine Pollard, 23, a graduate of the St. James' hospital nurses 
training class of 1928, died at the hospital yesterday morning.

She was born in Butte and lived here since her birth and attended the Butte 
high school. She was well known in the city and leaves a host of friends who 
will be shocked to hear of her death.

Surviving her are her mother, Mrs. Alice D. Pollard; a sister, Margaret 
Pollard; two brothers, John and James Pollard, all of this city, and several 
uncles and aunts in the east.

The body is at the family home, 1025 Hornet street, where the funeral will take 
place Friday morning at 8 o'clock, proceeding to Immaculate Conception church, 
where requiem high mass will be celebrate at 9:30 o'clock. Interment will be in 
Holy Cross cemetery.
