Notes: Benjamin L. Baker was born 28 Aug. 1845 in Shelby Co.,
Indiana, a son of George and Elizabeth (Hollis) Baker. The family
moved to Page Co., Iowa in 1850, then to Johnson Co., Missouri
in 1868. Benjamin spent most of his life as a railroader traveling
throughout the western states, before settling in Butte.
