J. Hamilton and Miss N. Belle Calkins will be considerable of a surprise in a good many friends of both. It was a little bit sudden, because Mr. Hamilton was called to Chicago on some important legal business, so he concluded to combine a business trip with a wedding tour. Miss Calkins was willing and that is how it happened. The marriage took palce at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of the bride's mother on West Broadway. In the presence of only a few friends and relatives, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Dr. E. J. Groaneveld of the First Presbyterian church. Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton left the city on the 4:45 Short Line train for the South and East. During their tour they will visit many of the eastern cities and will make a trip on the lakes and through the Thousand Islands. They will be absent a month or six weeks. Mr. Hamilton is one of the best known members of the Silver Bow county bar and his bride has for years been a teacher in the public schools of Butte and is well known and well liked in the city were she long lived and where she has many friends.
