Anaconda Standard -- July 1, 1900
Butte -- A very popular wedding of the past week was that which united in 
marriage Leon R. Foote and Miss Lizzie Creighton. The ceremony took place at 7 
o'clock on Wednesday evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Creighton, 
No. 534 East Mercury street. The ceremony was performed by Rev. W. H. setzer, 
pastor of the First Baptist chruch. The groom is one of Butte's most active and 
promising young men, a graduate of Ottawa university, and for the past four 
years connected with the Butte Business college as principal of the normal 
department. He has won a wide reputation as an instructor of ability and tact. 
The bride is an accomplised young lady, popular in a wide circle of 
acquaintances. A host of friends will wish the newly married couple a long and 
happy life. Mr. and Mrs. foote are spending their honeymoon in the northern 
part of the state. They will be at hme at No. 606 West Broadway after July 5.
