But little flesh remained on the bones, and were it not for a watch found close to the body, the identity of the unfortunate man would not have been believed. A force of men are still at work in slope No. 2 and are making as rapid progress as can be expected unthe circumstances. A portion of the slope has caved in, which makes more difficult the work or retimbering. The funeral of Korenan will be held as soon as the undertaker can prepare the remains. Three bodies yet remain the mine.
