Butte,Mont.,Oct.5-(Special)- Judge W.J. Naughton, one fo butte's best known 
citizens, dropped dead last night on the street from an attack of heart 
failure.
During the administration of Mayor Dugan, in 1893 and 1894, he was Police 
Judge. As an attorney he had an excellent reputation, and at the time of his 
death was UNited States court Commisioner. He was at one time a law partner 
with Mr. Mattison,now of the Butte Lodge of Elks he took a prominent part in 
all the business of the order.
