Butte,Mont.,Sept.3-A special from Miles City to the Miner says: Charles 
W.Savage,one of the pioneers of Eastern Savage,Miles City's first 
Postmaster,died at his home here yesterday after an illness of several 
years.Mr.Savage was well known throughout the state.He ws a Mason,and had held 
several offices in this county.He was born in Syracuse,N.Y.,in 1833.
