Peter Yegen--The subject of this sketch, who is now the head of thesubstantial mercantile firm of P. Yegenand Company, was born in Switzerlandin the month of August 1860. He came to America twenty years later, joininghis brother at Bismarck and with him came to Billings. These two youngforeigners have worked together a dozen years and have prospered, the firm being rated as guilt edge throughout the country. Peter Yegen is a quietunobtrusive gentleman whose own business and home are all that he cares to interfere with. He is marriedand has several children and lives close to his business. During the financial depression of last winter P. Yegen and Company weathered the storm with colors flying and in the spring commenced work on a large addition to their store building, which will certainly cost $10,000. The brothers are enterprising in many ways and liberal in all public charities.
