A NUMBER of Laurel people are in receipt of cards from Mr. and Mrs. Reese Davis announcing the marriage of their daughter Elizabeth Ida to Mr. Thomas A Rigney on June 5th at Marshall Minnesota. It did not come as a complete surprise to their friends here as it was pretty well understood that the wedding bells would ring in the near future but some did not know they had gone east. The bride is well known in Laurel having spent two years here as a teacher in the High school where she proved herself to be a most able and excellent instructor. She came here from Minnesota where she received her education and had taught in the schools with success. She is cultured and refined and will make a most estimable wife. The groom came to Laurel from Texas when the Northwest Improvement company was constructing the houses in railroad addition as an inspector for the Northern Pacific Railway company and inspected the building of all the work done by the company here. He is a graduate of the engineering department of the University of Texas and is the senior member of the firm of the Rigney-Justice Engineering company. At present he is connected with the Erb-Harper-Rigney company in the implement business and is Secretary-Treasurer of the company. He is a hustling young business man with prospects of a bright future before him is well acquainted with practically every one in and about Laurel and a favorite with all. Mr and Mrs Rigney will here at home to their friends August 1st in their new home in the north part of town where Mr Rigney has under construction and nearly completed one of the finest residences in Laurel. The Outlook joins their many friends in extending congratulations."
