Burris, 80, a retired Joliet elevator operator, died in a state hospital Thursday. He had been in ill health for about two months. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Christian church in Joliet with the Rev. Frank Needle, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in the Joliet Cemetery with the Olcott Funeral Home of Red Lodge in charge of arrangments. He was born April 21, 1878, in Greeley, Colo., and lived in Wyoming before coming to Joliet in 1912, where he operated a grain elevator for 25 years. He also worked in the Northern Pacific Railroad yards in Laurel for five years before he retired in 1949. Mr. Burris married Mrs. Laura D. Danford in Billings Feb. 6, 1937. His wife survives.
