This was found in 1976 it was yellow with age. Isom Dennis Buried Friday, February 8, 1889 Lot 6 of 3rd row 3rd from South end of southwest drive Isom Dennis, while out with his gun, stopped to talk with his neighbor the Montgomerys and stood with the butt of his gun on the ground and the muzzle leaning against his body, where by a tussle of the dogs at his feet, the gun was set off, the charge entered his body and he lived but a few minutes. This happened the day before his burial. He leaves a wife and seven small children. He was the son-in-law of James Melvin. Isom Dennis is buried in the cemetery next to James and Sally Melvin.
